Research
Special Research (ticket holders)
Ticket holders can play an event-only Special Research and, on finishing it, encounter Gigantamax Duraludon with a Location Background.
Claim the Special Research during your ticket session to learn about Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon and earn 2 themed medals. It is given only once, even with Extra Day add-ons.
The Global Special Research the following weekend requires a separate Global ticket.
GO Stamp Rally
Collect stamps at PokéStops at city landmarks to encounter event-themed Pokémon. It's available from 09:00 to 20:00 local time on your main ticket day, and Extra Day add-ons don't give it again.
Timed Research: Steel and Dragon types
Two Timed Research sets lead you to decorated PokéStops around the city. Spinning those PokéStops advances them, and they also help you find Stamp Rally spots.
With an Extra Day add-on, you get both Timed Research sets again on each added day. Finish them and claim the rewards before 20:00 local time that day.
Field Research
Event-themed Field Research shows up more often during the event, and completing tasks leads to encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Tasks and rewards are not yet announced.
Shiny forms
Shiny Hisuian Sliggoo can be found at the in-person events, and evolving it gives Shiny Hisuian Goodra.
Gigantamax Duraludon, Machamp (costumed), Dynamax Dialga, Dynamax Palkia, and mighty Latias and Latios can also be shiny. Ticket holders get better shiny odds during event hours.
